TT PREVIEW

Alfie discusses his team
ABOUT ME
I am a season ticket holder at Oxford City and I have supported the club for around 3 years and is a big part in why I love non-league football.
SEASON SO FAR
Very impressive. Compared to last season where we were stuck in the bottom half of the table for most of the season, we’ve made a flying start and are showing quality in all areas of the pitch.
RECENT FORM
Recent form has been extremely good, especially away from home with 7 wins and one loss.
KEY PLAYERS
Our 3 main key players are Tyrone Marsh, Scott Pollock and Ludwig Francilette. Tyrone Marsh because of his prolific goalscoring so far this season with 9 goals so far this season in all comps. Scott Pollock because of his contributions in attacking areas, providing 2 assists and 6 goals so far this season. Finally, Ludwig Francillette because his both his importance from Set Pieces being 6’6 + having 4 goals in all comps and is a very strong unit at the back, playing every single minute for the club this season and having 7 clean sheets.
THE MANAGER
Ross Jenkins joined the club in 2022 after retiring from professional football and took us to the playoffs in the NLS that season, losing out to Dorking. Then the following season guided us to Promotion to the National League for the first time. After our short stint in the 5th tier, Ross made the decision to leave the club to go to Boreham Wood. After a slow start, he was sacked after only 8 games. He was then reappointed as our manager after Sam Cox’s short reign came to an end.
POSSIBLE LINE-UP
I’d say we might go unchanged from last week with possibly one or two changes. I’d say the lineup could look like this
GK: Maxted
DEF: Bloom, Francillette, Johnson, Nelson
MID: Ashby, Tetek, Pollock
ATT: Smith, Marsh, Brown
BENCH: Humphries, McEachran, Forestieri, Potter, Carroll, Bateman, De Silva.
PROMOTION CHANCES?
Absolutely, it’s going to be tough in the long term with Morecambe and Macclesfield beginning to find form. But I think if we keep playing like we are at the moment, we can definitely go up.
AWAY SUPPORT
I usually don’t travel down for away games as they’re always a massive trek in the North, but this weekend I will be heading down to support City. We normally bring around 15 supporters away from home.
PREDICTION
My prediction for this game is Torquay United 1-3 Oxford City with Tyrone Marsh, Ellis Brown and Ludwig Francillette all scoring + Tegan Finn getting one for you.
