Paul discusses the Bulls

ABOUT ME

I am a news reporter at the Hereford Times and was previously head of sport content. I have supported Hereford since I was about nine-years-old – my nan used to take me to games.

FORM

Overall, it’s been good; however, we suffered a disappointing 3-0 defeat at Scarborough last week. Hereford’s home form has been excellent though.

HIGHLIGHTS

The comeback win at Gloucester on Boxing Day, which included a 99th minute winner, was excellent. Also, the 1-0 victory over Rochdale in the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup.

KEY PLAYERS

Yusifu Ceesay is a tricky player who has an eye for goal. Alex Babos has also chipped in with goals, while Andy Williams will be looking to get 90 minutes under his belt after recently returning from a long injury layoff. Top scorer Jason Cowley is suspended though, which will be a big blow.

THE PHOENIX CLUB

The club was formed in the wake of Hereford United being dissolved in the High Court. The Bulls won three successive promotions while also reaching two Wembley finals. However, prior to this season, the league form in National League North has been disappointing. It’s a tough league to get out of.

THE MANAGER

The manager is Paul Caddis who is enjoying his first managerial stint. He likes to play on the front-foot and make Edgar Street a fortress. His team has a lot of heart and character. But they also have quality with the likes of Ceesay.

PRE-MATCH REFRESHMENTS

There are pre-match bars, including Addisons and Radfords. The club also have a fan zone outside in the car park. There is an outside burger truck, as well as catering facilities inside for home and away supporters.

TROPHY RUN

Hereford have been lucky this season in that all of their cup matches have been at home. The Bulls have beaten Step 4 clubs Redbridge and South Park to get to this stage.
