James discusses his team ahead of the NL game
SEASON SUMMARY
Well, where do I start. It’s hard, but there is now some hope that this season could turn in our favour. With the sacking of Hak, we now have George Elokobi who has seemed to galvanise the squad. So hopefully a promising second half of the season awaits.
RECENT FORM
Since George took over it’s looked much better. A win against Notts County away in the FA Trophy on pens and a great performance against Wrexham at home, where we just come up short in the 90th minute.
HIGHLIGHTS
Probably 3 games for me. Beating Aldershot away 3-1, beating Scunthorpe away 2-0 and the more recent FA Trophy win against Notts at their ground.
KEY PLAYERS
Jack Barham upfront is a threat when the right tactics are played and Ryan Galvin has been a constant performer this season on loan from Sheffield Wednesday.
THE MANAGER
As I said above it’s early days with George Elokobi. But we have seen some good football, which is exciting to see.
LINE-UP
Like my last Q+A I don’t like predicting the line up. We have to get it right though as it will be a very tough game and we do need to bounce back after the 3.0 defeat to Aldershot.
OPPOSITION TEAMS
Again it’s got to be Wrexham and Notts County. Really great teams at this level. But let’s be honest it’s a hard league so all opponents are hard and there is no easy game.
STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES
Like I have said since George has taken over I think it has galvanised the squad. They look happy and up for the fight. So this is probably our biggest strength. Our weakness is not winning enough games. No seriously it’s a tough question! We win as a team and lose as a team so would be hard to pin point a weakness.
AWAY SUPPORT
I think we will bring in the region of 250. Some of us are staying over for the weekend, myself included, and there will be some on the coach as well as driving. So that should make for a good atmosphere.
AVOIDING RELEGATION
In a word yes we can get out of this. But as stated above it’s a very hard league so who knows.
PREDICTION
