GULLS STATS FOR 22/23

THE FIRST GOAL

20 of the Gulls total 22 National League points (91%) have come when United have scored first in games. United have only gained one point after the opposition have scored first (Altrincham at home), with the other point coming in the opening day goalless draw with Oldham.

SQUAD NUMBERS

The Gulls have used 32 different players in 32 games so far this season. The departed Will Goodwin tops the appearance list with 29 games and 2575 minutes. 13 out of the 32 players have been on loan.

ATTENDANCES

The average NL attendance at Plainmoor so far this season is 2241.62, with a home crowd number of 2062.15 and away 179.46. These numbers are unsurprisingly down on 2021-22’s final figures. The total average is down 13% from last season, and the home proportion down 11%. *Stats courtesy of Torquay Stats

AWAY GOALS

The Gulls have only scored 7 goals away from home this season. This equates to a meagre 0.54 goals a game over the 13 fixtures played. Four of those 7 were scored by the middle of September at Southend, Wealdstone and Halifax, with the remaining 3 picked up at Dagenham and Oldham in early December. That leaves 8 goalless games for the shot-shy Gulls.
