OPPOSITION Q&A

Alex discusses Bromley FC
ABOUT ME
I am a part-time media assistant at Bromley whilst working at a communications agency on a full-time basis. I first started volunteering at Bromley throughout the 2019/20 National League season, so I have followed the club since then and it has been a pleasure to help the team.
PRE-SEASON
We did face some really good academy teams from top Premier League clubs to be honest, picking up some draws along the way.
NEW SIGNINGS
Reice Charles-Cook has been signed to play in goal. He has a lot of experience in league football, whilst also playing internationally for Grenada. Adam Marriott is another key buy. He did really well at Barnet last season and adds to our forward options for the remainder of the league campaign.
KEY PLAYERS
Byron Webster. As well as his incredible defensive ability, he is a born leader and uses his experience to help and organise the team effectively. Michael Cheek, of course – he is a natural goalscorer. He already has a goal to his name this season, so expect many goals again from him this year.
EXPECTATIONS FOR 22/23
I do hope that Bromley get promoted! It would be amazing. Winning the FA Trophy in May has given the club a massive boost.
THE MANAGER
I was delighted to see Andy Woodman stay at Bromley. He is a good man manager and is great at really motivating the players. He also utilises his experiences as a coach well in terms of his tactics.
STARTING LINE-UP
Reice Charles-Cook, Reece Hannam, Billy Bingham, Chris Bush, Omar Sowunmi, Michael Cheek, Adam Marriot, Byron Webster, Corey Whitely, Harry Forster, James Vennings.
OPENING GAMES
It has been a slow start. We lost 3-2 away at Wealdstone and drew 0-0 at home to Altrincham.
PROMOTION CHALLENGERS
Wrexham, Notts County and Solihull Moors will be up there. However, we all know that there are many top quality teams in this division.
PREDICTION
I predict a 2-1 win for Bromley.
