Manager: Shaun Cooper

After starting his playing career with Portsmouth, Shaun Cooper made over 200 appearances for AFC Bournemouth between 2005 and 2011. He then had spells with Crawley Town and Portsmouth before Chris Hargreaves signed him for the Gulls during the 2013-14 season. However, he didn’t feature for United due to injury and was released at the end of the campaign. Cooper then had spells with Sutton United and Poole Town before retiring from playing.

He became manager of the Cherries Under-21 side, as they were then known, and in his first season they won the Central League Cup and reached the Last 16 of the Premier League Cup.

Player to watch: Jack Scrimshaw 

Isle of Wight-born striker Jack Scrimshaw, 20, has yet to make an appearance for the Cherries first team, but he has had loan spells with Poole Town, Eastleigh, Walsall and Newport County in recent seasons. In the 2020-21 campaign, Scrimshaw scored twice 16 in appearances for the Saddlers and three times in 16 outings for the Exiles.
