Manager: Scott Rogers
Scott Rogers will forever be remembered for scoring the winning goal in the 1999 FA Vase final as a 19-year old, to secure back to back FA Vase successes. A central midfielder, he began his playing career with Tivvy back in 1998, before spells at Forest Green, Bath City, Newport County, Eastleigh and Chippenham between 2003 and 2013.
He then took the managerial reigns at Willand Rovers and led them on a memorable FA Cup run that Gosport Borough ended in 2014 in the fourth qualifying round stage, before returning to Ladysmead in the summer of 2015 as player-coach. Scott later became joint-manager with his second cousin, the long serving Martyn Rodgers, and recently took sole charge of the Yellows.
Player to watch: Craig Woodman
Many Torquay United fans will no doubt remember left back Craig Woodman from the loan spells he enjoyed at Plainmoor from Bristol City in the 2004-05 and 2005-06 seasons. Woodman later left Ashton Gate for spells with Wycombe Wanderers and Brentford before returning to Devon to sign for Exeter City in 2012. He then remained with the Grecians for eight years and made nearly 250 appearances for them before joining Tiverton in the summer of 2020.
