Ed Dominic summarises things and runs the rule over the players in the friendly defeat Summary: An entertaining match sees United give Argyle a good test, and we are unlucky not to score at least one with the woodwork standing in our way! Overall Nick will be pleased with some neat interplay and plenty of […]

BIG MATCH SUMMARY: WE ARE STAYING UP! Not enough detail? Ok alright then I’ll summarise the match… 1st half: Its nervy and tense to begin with. Brett hits a rocket that bangs the bottom of the left hand post, but plenty of apprehension sees jitters on the pitch and in the bumper crowd (over 4000 […]

Summary: Brilliant bloody brilliant!! We go to play off hopefuls, match them step for step and hang on for a massive win. Dover have the better of a disjointed first half where quality is low – until that man Brett pops up again to give us a lead. The second is much more lively! Another […]

Summary: Finally I get to report on a United win! It’s an absorbing game with a wonderful atmosphere at Plainmoor from a noisy Yellow Army and the boys deservedly take all three points in an enthralling and nail biting second half. We do it the hard way after allowing Braintree to take the lead, but […]

Summary: The cruellest of cruel defeats. Even in a dead rubber of a match that would’ve hurt, but given the stakes that was galling. After weathering a bit of an early storm, Torquay grew into the first half, and nullified Lincoln’s threat while creating half chances here and there. A brilliant save by Farman from […]

Summary: A pulsating match full of action (and injuries!) on a hot day finishes all square. The boys show great determination and will to match the home team for much of the game – and the 90 mins (+bags of injury time) see-sawed from one team to another. In the end its Aldershot not us […]

Summary: It’s official; Football is a cruel world. The boys give everything and more today against Chester, and even after a sending off (a correct professional foul decision) still match their opposition in every department. A speculative long range effort deflects past Brendan late in the second half and the three points go back up […]
