TT PREVIEW

Ollie discusses his team
LIFE IN THE NLS
So far so good. Everything just seems more professional from the grounds, the way teams set up & the standard of football. It makes you realise the jump from step 3-2 is huge but we have started brilliantly & long may it continue.
START TO THE SEASON
Fantastic. Realistically before season you think 7 or 8 points from first 5 games would be a good return but 11 points & unbeaten is a bit of a dream to be honest..
KEY PLAYERS
Our skipper Kevin Lokko is an absolute beat at the back & a threat from every set piece. He also scored the title winning goal & is a true leader & warrior.
Joe Piggot just oozes class, he makes everyone around him raise their game & is probably in my opinion the best player to ever wear the black & amber stripes.
However for me Donnel Thomas brings the razzle dazzle. Tricky player, who is just a delight to watch.
THE MANAGER
Jay Saunders knows what is needed at this level having previously won the league with Maidstone. When he came in for last few games of 24/25 we were in a mess & you could see instantly the impact he made & the standards he demands. Even when us fans are delighted with the performance he’ll normally highlight something he’s not happy with but I love that about him as even when we were miles in front of the league last year no one could rest on our laurels.
LINE-UP/TACTICS
Whilst the defense & attack is fairly steady, you never quite know with Jay how he’ll go in midfield.
Definitely will be
Collins
Lokko
Fielding
Smith
Quick
Mason
I have a feeling midfield may be Lovett & H Kedwell
Thomas
Pig
Cosgrove
AWAY SUPPORT
This is the biggest away league game in our history but its bloody miles away but I suspect there will be knocking on 200 of us.
BEST OPPOSITION
I missed the Chelmsford game but was really surprised by Maidstone. My wife is a stone unfortunately so I’ve seen them a few times & they’re normally poor to watch but against us I thought they played some really good footy & we had to dig deep.
PROMOTION CHANCES
I want to play it down but we do have the team if we can avoid too many injuries & suspensions as we haven’t a massive squad.
I think maybe an outside chance for playoffs.
PREDICTION
You haven’t won at home & we’re unbeaten which probably means you’ll win haha. But I’m feeling confident & will say 1-3 to Invicta.
