TT PREVIEW

Joel Page discusses the Daggers
WINNING START
Well we’re the only side on maximum points after three games, so everyone is really happy thus far! Performances have not been quite as proportionately commanding, but through sheer willpower and strength in depth off the bench, we’re finding a way to get over the line. It’s been of major contrast to the soft, weak underbelly we’ve been used to seeing from the side over the last few seasons – long may that continue.
STAND-OUT PLAYERS
It’s actually hard to pinpoint, to be honest, because it’s been such a team effort with plenty chipping in already. Archie Tamplin is certainly a fans’ favourite in the making. Kane Crichlow has probably been the most exciting attacker but even Kymani Thomas is challenging his place. Meanwhile Noah Coppin announced himself with a match-winning brace in midweek.
THE MANAGER
Early days but Lee Allinson has been brilliant so far. He was keen to emphasise that the team is a work in progress in terms of quality, however promised relentless hunger and determination from the off, which we’ve seen in droves.
LINE-UP/TACTICS
It’ll be a 4-2-3-1 and I can confidently anticipate that the backline plus midfield will be the same as Tuesday, however there’s seven players who would conceivably start across the four attacking positions with many knocking on the door now. A good problem to have.
TITLE CHALLENGERS
Yourselves and Dorking are always going to be up there at this level, besides that there’s few guarantees. I’m confident we can be in and around it, hopefully the very higher echelons.
BIG CROWD?
We’ll eclipse the 2000 mark which won’t sound so great to the Torquay fans reading but is certainly a sign of us being on a much better trajectory as a club. There’s a really good feel about the place again, and we have to be confident ahead of Saturday. It’s obviously a hard game against a good side but likewise for Torquay. You have to have faith in yourselves and go out to win.
PRE-MATCH
The Pipe Major is pretty much opposite the station, along the barely ten minute walk to the ground. It shows football and is a decent pub. Other than that, the best bet is our clubhouse really.
PREDICTION
1-0 to the Daggers.
