August
For the third consecutive season, United will start the campaign at Plainmoor, but with regulars Enfield now plying their trade in the Isthmian League, it’s Horsham who have the honour of visiting Devon on Matchday 1 (8th). Torquay’s first away day sees a swift return to Tonbridge Angels (15th) , a ground which hosted the Gulls’ on the last day of the regular season back in April. Weston make the first midweek trip of the season when they visit the following Tuesday (18th), before United travel to the capital to face Lee Allinson’s new look Dagenham (22nd). A quick fire double rounds off August when the Yellows’ host Hampton & Richmond (29th) and travel to Farnham (31st) on the bank holiday Monday.
September
September starts with newcomers Folkestone making a first ever trip to Plainmoor (5th), with United in turn making their first midweek journey of the season the following Tuesday when they visit Maidenhead’s York Road (8th). The Yellow Army will be hoping a repeat of the PO semi final is on the cards when Marc White’s Dorking rock up to TQ1 (12th), before a break for FA Cup action the following week. A first visit to Billericay since 2019 (26th) is sandwiched in between the 2nd and 3rd FA Cup qualifying rounds on the 19th Sept and 3rd Oct respectively.
October
Post FA Cup action will see Slough looking to upset the odds when they provide the opposition on the second Saturday of the month (10th). A tough looking trip to Hemel Hempstead the following week (17th) will certainly test the Gulls’ as the season and table looks to take shape (shall be rearranged should United reach the FA Cup 4QR). Bogey side Maidstone are the visitors on the (24th), ahead of back to back away games at Jimmy Ball’s ex employers AFC Totton (27th) and Southern Prem South winners Walton & Hersham (31st).
November
Dover will make the long trip west on the (7th), assuming neither side are involved in FA Cup 1st round action. After a break for the Trophy on the (14th), United return to league action with a long trip to newly relegated Braintree (21st), before a quick turnaround on a preempted cold Tuesday night will see Chesham make the rather long midweek trip to Devon (24th). Chelmsford at home (28th) rounds off a busy November.
December
A tough start to December sees United on the road twice, firstly at Ebbsfleet (5th) followed by Horsham (8th). Trophy takes centre stage should United get that far on (12th), with Tonbridge making the pre Christmas Saturday trip (19th). Truro in Cornwall (26th) and Salisbury at Plainmoor (28th) provides the festive football fix to wrap up what we all hope will be a successful end to the calendar year.
January
Farnborough provide the first opposition of 2027 as they make the trip the day after NYD (2nd). A trip to Slough (9th) and the visit of Billericay (16th) will make up the next two, assuming FA Cup and Trophy is thwarted for either United or their opponents. Away games at Dorking (23rd) and Chesham (26th) make up a Saturday-Tuesday itinerary as United continue to clock up the miles. A welcome home game with Braintree (30th) will wrap up the first month of the year.
February
The longest away day of the season sees us travel to Dover (6th), ahead of Walton & Hersham popping their Plainmoor cherry the following Saturday (13th). Totton repay the midweek favour on the (16th) as they travel to Devon, before a daunting trek to Kent to face Maidstone (20th). Consecutive Tuesdays at Plainmoor see Maidenhead visit (23rd), preceding United making another trip to the west side of the capital to face Hampton & Richmond (27th).
March
The seasons penultimate month starts with the visit of Dagenham (6th), before a Tuesday night in Weston (9th) where the Yellow Army will almost certainly come in their droves. Newly promoted sides Folkestone away (13th) and Farnham home (20th) will provide the next two tests. Good Friday sees us travel the relatively short distance to Wiltshire to face Salisbury (26th) ahead of Truro visiting Plainmoor on Easter Monday (29th).
April
On paper, April is shaping up to be a challenging last regular season month for the Yellow’s, with a trip to Farnborough (3rd) followed by back to back Saturdays at home against Hemel Hempstead (10th) and Ebbsfleet (17th) respectively. The 26/27 regular season is rounded off as we make the long journey east to face Chelmsford (24th), in what is hoped will be the final game of the season, and a celebratory occasion!
