TUST UPDATE

This evening sees the launch of the new TUST ‘Forever Yellow’ membership scheme.

TUST’s strategic aim is ‘Building for the Future’ and to that end we have set a target of raising £100,000 per annum to directly support the club as co-owners. The Forever Yellow scheme will be a major contributor to achieving this target and follows discussions with the club board and Bryn Consortium.

In developing this new initiative the TUST board has drawn on the experience of other supporters’ trusts and has taken account of the positive results of its recent supporters’ survey. Of the 737 respondents (including 543 TUST members), 87% supported the proposal to increase its financial contribution to the club with 76% favouring a tiered membership. Two thirds supported raising the minimum subscription rate with 83% indicating that £5 per month would be affordable and 50% saying they could afford £10.

In developing the Forever Yellow proposal the TUST board were very conscious of the need to retain membership numbers and to attract as many new members as possible. With this in mind it has been decided to retain the basic £2 per month (£24 per annum) level of ‘Bronze’ membership.

The new scheme introduces three higher tiers of membership; Silver at £5 per month, Gold at £10 pm and Platinum at £25pm (or the equivalent for those who wish to pay annually which saves TUST the transaction fees of monthly collection). Each tier offers members a range of benefits as set out in the graphic below.

We are also offering members an opportunity to indicate how they would prefer their contributions to be spent by the club. There are three areas: first team operations, youth and stadium experience. The default position for existing TUST members is that the funding will be split equally between these headings but if you prefer to indicate a different preference you can do so when you upgrade your Forever Yellow membership.

We would urge you to consider the most appropriate level for your circumstances but our aim is to get as many current members as possible to the Silver tier. This will be the new ‘norm’ but we encourage those who can afford it to consider the Gold or Platinum tiers.
