TT PREVIEW

Max discusses his team
SEASON SO FAR
Summarising the season is going to be much easier then it has been for me in recent seasons. Mainly because it has been a phenomenal season. I would summarise it by saying the best season Hemel have ever had. No matter how the season finishes. Taking Wigan to pens at their ground in the FA cup, sitting in 5th place with two games to go. In arguably the best National league South it has been some would say. It really has been a magical season.
RECENT FORM
If we had Torquay in the month of March and I was answering these I would say amazing. 6 wins on the bounce, but April has dipped a little. Not to much but highlighting the games at home to Chesham losing 0-3 and the game away at Enfield which ended 0-0. These games are very recent and honestly no where near up to our standards for us. We are on the back of a 3-1 win at home to Eastbourne. However even then I know we can be 10x better.
HIGHLIGHTS
Easily reaching round one and drawing Wigan away in the FA cup. A day I will never forget. I am not sure how we did not win, we took them to penalties and lost unfortunately. The atmosphere was a highlight I will never forget no matter the result. I would say another highlight is actually seeing our young striker Mathew-Lewis getting a well deserved move to league one side Burton. A weird highlight as we miss him very much. Seeing a player that struggled at his last club with managers not trusting him get a move to the football league. As he was absolutely smashing it at our club is very much a highlight. Finally, I do not want to speak to early but being where we are at this time. Getting a play of spot would 100 percent be the biggest highlight. As a fairly new Hemel fan, I have never experienced us in any play offs. No matter how far we get I would absolutely love to experience it.
PROMOTION PUSH
Of course. We have been in the play offs all season. I am sure we have only dropped out once all season. We deserve to be where we are. Promotion contenders. We may not be the team you would put money on to win promotion. However do we have a chance, very much so.
THE MANAGER
Honestly I think he has just got the recruitment perfect, which is rare as a Hemel fan to say that. Lee has come in and built a ridiculously good squad. Many people are saying we are punching above our weight. I would argue with that. As soon as we appointed Lee and Lee started his recruitment. I said we would be right up there. Lee is a magnificent manager who has always done well and better then his targets. At Hendon he had one of the smallest budgets at the level. Yet always challenged with them. When we got rid of Bobby Wilkinson last season. I was all over getting Lee Allinson in. We did and now there is no surprise where we are in the table.
POSSIBLE LINE-UP
In a 4-2-3-1:Johnson; Dowrich; Lomas; Ajayi; Stanley; White; Achuba; Noel-Williams; Williams; Vilhete; Campbell
BEST OPPOSITION
Chesham. The only team to do the double over us. They absolutely battered us both games. We did not have a foot in any game home or away against them. They have some phenomenal players there
AWAY FOLLOWING
We should have some more then we usually have as we are serious contenders for promotion. A really hard one to predict though. Normally we would have no more then 30. I will go with 50 this time.
PREDICTION
Torquay is in unreal form. Football is football though. I have a strong feeling Hemel win. 0-2.
