TT PREVIEW

Steve discusses his team
SEASON SO FAR
So many things:
- Too many long-term injuries to key players in a small squad.
- Too many lapses of concentration late-on in games. We have conceded 16 goals after the 88th minute.
- Too much poor quality on show. We can’t seem to clear our lines at the first attempt and often do the simples things well.
NEW MANAGER
Really pleased. I think Scott [Bartlett] was the best candidate available for us.
ESTIMATED AWAY FOLLOWING
Tough one. Most people have accepted our fate but I think people will appreciate having a great away day in a great place with a great stadium and in front of a great crowd. I am going to guess 120.
RELEGATION RESPONSE
That’s so tough to call. It all depends on budget. And the whole squad needs an overhaul, so they might take time to gel. I would like to think we’d be top half of the Southern League.
KEY PLAYERS
Will Jenkins-Davies. Fights hard and has the quality all too lacking in other departments. Scott Wilson has also returned from his loan spell in good form and has 5 to his name.
BEST OPPOSITION
Maidenhead have stuck 7 past us in the two fixtures we’ve played them in. Out muscled us and won at a canter on both occasions. Last Tuesday we had a number of key players out, but I’m not convinced that would have changed things.
PREDICTION
5-0 to Torquay. The new gaffer hasn’t had much time to implement a new style and the lack of confidence from the old regime is still very much in the camp.
