Gary joined Chippenham Town for a second spell as a player from Hungerford Town in September 2016 and joined the coaching staff for the 2017-18 season. He was invited to take up the manager’s position towards the end of the 2021-22 season following the departure of the previous management team and has remained in charge ever since.

Tom Owen-Evans signed permanently for Chippenham Town on 23rd May 2023 after previously playing on loan for the club in the 2019-20 season. He started his career with Newport County making over 50 appearances in the Football League, netting his only goal for the Exiles in a 1-0 win over Exeter City in April 2017. He then headed across the border to sign for Falkirk in 2018 before returning to England to sign for National League North side Hereford where he spent three seasons. For the 2022-23 season, Tom signed for Kidderminster Harriers playing a key part in their campaign which ended with Kiddy getting promoted via the play-offs.

Torquay United secured a welcome three points on the road on Tuesday evening, as they beat Chippenham 3-1 at Hardenhuish Park. Matt Carson gave United an early lead, only for Caine Bradbury to level the scores just before the break. Offrande Zanzala’s first goal for the club in the second half saw United back in front though, and after soaking up everything the hosts had to give, Matt Jay wrapping things up with United’s third in the dying stages.
