WESTON SUPER (NIGHT) MARE (A)
After beating Welling United 5-1 Gary Johnson stated he urges his side to build on it, did we do that? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Yet another lacklustre performance from the the team, the only people I really truly feel bad for is the 850 plus supporters who made that trip to watch a performance that could have sent anybody to sleep. Dire!
MISSING TOM
Tom Lapslie’s injury deprived us of one of United’s key players. I believe he brings something different in the centre and qualities such as energy, drive and enthusiasm were missed massively against Weston-super-Mare unfortunately. Let’s hope he is back very soon, as the midfielder is desperately needed.
REID MAKES US SUFFER
Ex-Torquay United striker Reuben Reid came back to haunt us and was on top form with a brace on Tuesday night, ultimately proving at 35 years old that he can still find the goal at this level of football. I wonder if he fancies one last dance at Torquay before he hangs up those boots for good. Please.
WHAT NEXT?
Who knows right…? It’s very visible that some supporters have had enough of what’s been offered to us this season, with plenty understandably wanting a major shake-up at the club. Let us know your thoughts on this situation.
THE YELLOW ARMY
Well what was it…850 plus in what was a rainy night away at Weston-super-Mare at National League South level, do I even need to say anymore? Unbelievable, do Torquay United deserve this level of support?…that is probably a topic for another day. I’m sure good numbers will attend once again on Saturday hoping for better, United need to raise their game to reward that loyalty.
