TT INTERVIEW
Mark talks about the Wings
SEASON SO FAR
After a shocking first 45 minutes of the season, away to Truro, Welling have played better than their league position suggests. The football has been good to watch.
FORM
Until losing one-nil to a late goal at Boreham Wood last Saturday, Welling had gone five league and cup games undefeated.
HIGHLIGHTS
Beating local rivals Dartford three-two at Princes Park in the FA Cup.
KEY PLAYERS
There have been different man of the match winners, and player of the month winners so it’s hard to pick out key individuals.
THE MANAGER
Danny Bloor is Welling’s manager and he likes his team to keep it on the ground where possible. He will have done his homework on Torquay and will line his team up in a way that he believes can hurt them.
LINE-UP
Injuries and international call ups make it difficult to know. Goalkeeper Ben Winterbottom had to go to hospital last week and if he was diagnosed with concussion as well as having stitches, he will not be allowed to play and a short term loan goalkeeper may be brought in. The rest of the team will probably be Crossley Lema, Cameron Green, Dominic Odusanya, Lewis White or Kain Adom, Antony Papadopoulos, Amadou Kassarate or James Vaughan or TJ Bramble, Jack Burchell, Jephte Tanga, Tristan Abrahams, Lachlan Byrd.
AWAY FOLLOWING
What you consider to be many and what I consider to be many are probably not the same. I would say a maximum of one hundred.
STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES
Strengths are a good team ethic. Weaknesses, I’ll leave that for Gary Johnson to identify.
BEST OPPOSITION
Worthing looked good. No individuals have really stood out.
PREDICTION
I never make predictions, and never will.
