OPPOSITION Q&A – Chelmsford City by ClaretsXtra

TT INTERVIEW

ClaretsXtra talks about the Clarets

Very good, 4W 3D 1L & were unbeaten until Monday where we were deservedly beaten.

A win at Torquay would still come as a monumental upset all things considered.

Charlie Ruff, the key to how we play, a direct attacking midfielder who charges a down the middle & loves to create chances. 2 goals & 5 assists for the magician.

Captain Dave at the back is monumental too. The team isn’t riddled with experience but it’s made up by having Dave at the back. A warrior who leads by example & leaves everything on the line.

Strengths – the directness, a very good game plan. Robbie Simpson plays it to good effect. A defence that’ll run through walls, a midfield who control games with their flair & physicality.

Weaknesses – Striker, we’re a fast direct forward away from a real title push. Our Strikers are good at holding up play & work well in our system but feel like a Mo Faal type player would seriously make us look dangerous.

2nd best defensive record in the league.

We’ve been in the league since 2007.

8 failed play-off times in the league.
