TT INTERVIEW
Max talks about the Rebels from Slough
ABOUT ME
Hi there, I’m Max and I have followed Slough since 2017, My dad’s work mate has followed the Rebels for a long time so decided to get down there one Tuesday Night. Never looked back… (yet!).
EXPECTATIONS FOR 23/24
Expectations this season is a mid-table finish maybe pushing for those play-offs but let’s just see where the rollercoaster takes us!
OPENING GAMES
Three defeats on the bounce are never the best but the 3-0 win at Weston-super-Mare will definitely have lifted the confidence of the squad.
KEY PLAYERS
Key player at the moment has to be George Alexander, so lucky to have him at Slough. Bromley fans are baffled how he’s gone to us.
THE MANAGER
Scott Davies is a very young manager at this level (he hasn’t paid me to say that by the way) some may think he should focus on his playing career, but he’s got a good management squad around him in Yella and Chris Winton. He likes moving the ball around, with a few Hollywood passes from himself.
POSSIBLE LINE-UP
Starting XI I would go for: Gracyk, Jackman, George, Eweka, Bayliss, Davies, Goddard, Sundire, Minhas, McElory, Alexander
PRE-MATCH REFRESHMENTS
Best pre-match drinks would have to be in the Wheatsheaf, very welcoming in there. Spoons is also available for those who fancies that!
FACTS ABOUT THE REBELS
One fact about Slough is that we are the most successful club to be in the 2nd Round proper but never getting in the magical 3rd Round.
PREDICTION
Gotta back Slough or I’ll get ripped on the terraces, so I’ll go for a 2-1 draw. Safe travels up to all Torquay Fans and hopefully together we can get Arbour Park rocking.
