DILLON DE SILVA – WINGER

Dillon enjoyed an indifferent loan spell with the Gulls last season. Much of that had to do with the system he was played in, as De Silva never looked totally comfortable in the wing back role. He enjoyed his better form against the sides at the lower end of the table and scored a brilliant goal against NLS side Taunton in the FA Trophy. Released by QPR this summer, a fresh start in the NLS may be what the Sri Lankan winger needs to reignite his career.

WILL TIZZARD – CENTRE BACK

Following the success of Nico Lawrence’s loan move down to Plainmoor, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see our links with Southampton strengthen over the coming season, especially with a potential friendly against their B team rumoured. Will Tizzard is a commanding Centre Back who won ‘Scholar of the year’ at Southampton in 20/21. The 20 year old spent last season on loan at Chippenham where he played 22 matches, scoring 1 goal. It remains to be seen whether he’ll have his contract extended at Soton but we may well see him arrive this summer, either on loan or as a free agent.

FINLEY CRASKE – RIGHT BACK

Released by Argyle this summer, the attacking right back enjoyed a good second half of the season on loan at Truro City as they won promotion to the National League South. Those who watched Truro in the play offs commented on how good Craske looked and he may be an ideal option at Right back, either as an understudy or as a regular starter.

LEWIS COLLINS – WINGER/STRIKER

Another ex-loanee who I’m sure Gary Johnson will be on the phone to this summer. Collins got better and better as his loan period went on and whether it was upfront, on the wing or at wing back he showed up well for the Gulls. A free agent after his release from Newport County, Collins’ versatility and work ethic would make him a great signing for the NLS, not a bad finish on him either as his goal away to Scunthorpe showed.
