Gary joined the Beavers in June 2018, following the departure of Alan Dowson to Woking a month earlier. Prior to arriving at the Bev, Gary had been in charge at Hendon for 13 years, who he featured for as a player before moving to the dugout following a short break when injury ended his playing career. In his final season with the Greens, they finished 3rd in the Isthmian League Premier and then reached the play off final before eventually succumbing to Dulwich Hamlet in a penalty shootout.

PLAYER TO WATCH: JAKE GRAY

After starting his career with Crystal Palance, Jake Gray went on to make over 100 appearances in the EFL with Yeovil Town and Luton Town. Whilst with the Glovers, he featured against Manchester United in the fourth round of the FA Cup in the 2017-18 season – alongside United’s Under-18’s boss Ryan Dickson. Gray then joined Woking in 2019 before joining the Beavers a year later.

He was an ever-present for Hampton and Richmond in the shortened 2020-21 season – and has remained an important of Gary McCann’s side ever since.
