THE WEEK AHEAD

Saturday – Wrexham v TUFC @ The Racecourse (15.00 KO)

United travel to North Wales more in hope than expectation, as they face big spending Wrexham. The Dragons’ five game winning streak came to an end last weekend, as they were held to a goalless draw at Southend. The Gulls’ can take some comfort in knowing 7 of their 8 points this season have all been gained away from Plainmoor.

Sunday – FGR Women v TUWFC @ FGR Ladies (14.00 KO)

Steve Elswood’s side will be looking to build momentum on last weekend’s superb 5-2 win over Poole. That was the Ladies’ first win this season. FGR have 4 points from their 2 games so far.

PLAYED FOR BOTH

Former back-to-back Gulls’ Player of the Season Luke Young remains a fixture in the Wrexham side, having started all but 1 of the games so far this season. Louis Briscoe had a short spell in Wales post his Torquay playing days. Former midfielder Simon Heslop was another one to switch Plainmoor for The Racecourse back in 2016. Front-man Danny Wright also had a spell with both clubs, some 7 years apart.
