I’d say our season has gone pretty well so far considering the amount of injuries we’ve had. Both our recognised CBs have been struggling all season and we’re now using makeshift CM’s at the back in the middle now but it does seem to be working.
How’s your recent form been?
Recent form. Not too shabby. A couple of losses against promotion rivals but all in all not too bad at all. And we’re into the next round of the FA Trophy too.
What’s been your highlights of the season so far?
Highlights of the season so far is drawing 0-0 with Wigan in the FA Cup and then taking them to 120 mins in the replay too. We were arguably the better side over the 2 games, just unlucky with lapses of concentration in the end.
Who’s your key players and why?
Key players – Joe Sbarra is a stand out for me this season contributing double figure goals from midfield and supporting the strikers by making darting runs in behind. Also, Jamey Osborne as always. Been Moors best player in most games he’s played this season, just have to keep him fit!
How does the manager like to set the team up?
Neal Ardley has the team playing 5 at the back with a mixture in styles of play. Sometimes we go long ball to Adam Rooney up top and look for the flick on to the pacy striker or other times we play short and use the wing backs.
With injuries it’s hard to predict. But. Ryan Boot will start in goal. I also imagine that it’ll be 2 up top with Rooney and Dallas but I’m not the manager unfortunately.
Will many Moors supporters make the trip down?
We know we’re not the best supported team in the league but we always get a coach on to every away game, where fingers crossed we can take around 50 of our fans. But for what we lack in numbers, we make up for in noise usually. Depends how many beers they’ve had on the coach normally.
Do you fancy your chances of grabbing a play-off place?
I think if we keep up what we’re doing there’s no reason we can’t secure a spot whether that is nicking it last day of the season or getting in and staying there.
What’s the biggest strengths of the team?
Biggest strengths are the playmakers in the team, with always having people in and around the ball making runs and creating space for the two strikers to hopefully get into and find an opening to score.
And finally, give us your match prediction?
Prediction for the night is 2-2. Dallas up top has 8 goals in 2 games so I can see him grabbing another goal.
