TT OPPOSITION Q&A – Bromley FC by Alex Exadactylos

Alex Exadactylos discusses his team Bromley FC

Hi Alex, so summarise Bromley’s season for us in a couple of paragraphs?

Firstly, thank you for allowing me to feature on this preview. Where do I begin! After getting many talented players this summer, we had a positive start to the season. However, we have had many inconsistent results from October till March and struggled for consistency, despite some fantastic wins.

From April, we gained belief and went six games undefeated, beating some great teams along the way. If only we gained more momentum earlier on, we would have certainly secured a play-off position in due course.

Looking ahead, it will be an interesting yet nervy last month for the team. It is certainly all to play for and whatever happens this season, Bromley have done themselves proud I personally feel.

How’s the teams recent form been?

Brilliant. We have only lost to Chesterfield in the last eight games.

What’s been your highlights of the season so far?

Ending Solihull Moors’ unbeaten home record in December and knocking Sutton United out of the FA Cup. Another memorable moment was defeating Woking in a pulsating last minute 3-4 win away from home!

Who are your key players and why?

Mark Cousins has been fantastic. He has pulled off some great saves this season and commands his box very well. Michael Cheek, the National League’s top goal-scorer has also been amazing throughout the season.

Position: Goalkeeper

Date of Birth: 9th January 1987 – 34 years-old

Height: 1.85m

Former Clubs: Fulham, Colchester, Staines, Enfield, Yeading, Dagenham & Redbridge, Barnet

National League Stats 20-21: Played 38, Clean Sheets 9

Who’s the boss and what tactics does he like to use?

Andy Woodman is our manager. He has organised us well in defence and we look to hit teams on the counter attack in general, although tactics can of course alter depending on the opponent.

What’s your likely line-up for Saturday?

Cousins, Kizzi, Bush, Fox, Mitchell, Raymond, Arthurs, Bingham, Bridge, Cheek, Williamson.

You are in the play-off mix, do you fancy your chances?

Yes! We have momentum but we are aware of the difficult task ahead.

What are the main strengths of the team?

Our cohesiveness. The team all play for each other and always fight until the end of every game.

Which opposition teams and players have impressed you most?

Torquay have impressed me so far, Stockport also. In terms of players, I would go with Harry Beautyman and Kane Ferdinand.

And finally we grabbed a late winner at your gaff, but what’s your prediction for the game at Plainmoor?

Yes, I remember it well unfortunately! I will go with a 1-2 win for Bromley.
