Profile – Kalvin Kalala had originally joined Gary Johnson at Cheltenham Town, and the two were reunited when the Frenchman was brought down to Plainmoor in late 2018. The winger soon had the Yellow Army purring with his close control and ability to beat his man. Kalala scored some memorable goals and created plenty as well, helping the Gulls win the National League South title. His second season at United was more difficult and despite some wonderful strikes versus Fylde and Harrogate, the enigmatic attacker struggled to find form. He was offered a new contract in the summer, but decided to move to pastures new.

RUAIRI KEATING
Striker – 2017-20
GAMES – 119 GOALS – 16
PACE – 7 PASSING – 6
POWER – 7 SKILL – 6
SHOOTING – 6 TACKLING – 7
OVERALL – 65%
Profile – Ruairi Keating was signed by Nicho in early 2017 as the Gulls tried to avoid relegation in the National League. The Irishman soon made an impact, scoring a late goal at Southport to take all 3 pts for the Gulls. That summer the striker was rewarded with a new contract. The following season saw Ruairi struggle to win the faith of new manager Gary Owers as the Gulls slipped to relegation. He did however remain a Gull, and with Gary Johnson taking the reins, did his bit in United’s charge to NLS glory. Highlights being a late goal at East Thurrock and a barnstorming performance V Chelmsford. Last season saw Ruairi struggle to find a place in the XI and he left for Gateshead before lockdown.

BILLY KEE
Winger/Striker – 2010-11
GAMES – 54 GOALS – 10
PACE – 6 PASSING – 7
POWER – 7 SKILL – 7
SHOOTING – 8 TACKLING – 7
OVERALL – 70%
Profile – Billy Kee started his career at Leicester City, and after a loan spell at Accrington Stanley the striker was signed by Paul Buckle in the summer of 2010. Billy scored for fun in pre-season friendlies, but found it difficult to nail down a place in the Gulls XI. Kee got his first goal for the Gulls in early November vesus Oxford United, and eventually scored 9 league goals that season – with Buckle often utilising him as a winger, a position he fulfilled admirably. The Gulls made the play-offs and Kee was part of the team chosen at Old Trafford – but unfortunately it wasn’t to be United’s day. Kee remained at Plainmoor for the start of 2011-12, but requested a transfer and joined Burton Albion in late August.

JO KUFFOUR
Winger/Striker – 2002-06
GAMES – 161 GOALS – 33
PACE – 8 PASSING – 7
POWER – 6 SKILL – 9
SHOOTING – 8 TACKLING – 6
OVERALL – 73%
Profile – Arsenal youngster Jo Kuffour was released by the Gunners in the summer of 2002, and was snapped up by new Gulls manager Leroy Rosenior. The diminutive attacker soon commanded a place in Leroy’s side and became an integral part of a squad that won promotion in 2003-04. Kuffour scoring a number of goals and linked up well with the likes of Graham and Gritton, his quick feet and imagination on the ball delighting the Yellow Army. Jo remained at Plainmoor for another two years, as United were unluckily relegated back to League Two in 05. His swansong for United was a brilliant performance at Carlisle towards the end of 05-06, as an unlikely great escape was achieved under Ian Atkins.
