Sam Jones – @samuellejones
Another week, another loss. The injury hit Gulls suffered a frustrating defeat at home to Sutton but with half the squad out injured. The fact we are so high up is impressive, and a credit to Gary.
But while we wait for the players to come back, shall we have some Tweets of the Week?
5 – It’s a beaut, ain’t it?
How many football clubs in the world can boast a view like this? This stunning shot just shows how lovely the bay can be on a good day. Shame about the football though…
4 – A perfect gift for Christmas
This is the second shot of Plainmoor by James below. The first was a beautiful shot of Plainmoor in the rain, and the second is a beautiful one of the stadium in the snow. Perfect for a stocking filler this holiday.
3 – What an achievement, well done everyone!
Torquay stuck four past Elmore FC of Tiverton in the Devon Challenge Cup, but that wasn’t the most impressive bit. The team that the Gulls put out featured 12 youth team players which is a testament to the youth system. A great experience for all them, well done!
2 – We’ve hit peak Duku.
Oh Manny, we want to like you but sometimes you make it so hard too. He did managed to score, but despite the solitary goal, even when the opposition keeper is resigned to conceding he still misses. There is a player in there somewhere, but we are still waiting for it to come out…
1 – The more you think about it, the more it makes sense.
We’ve all seen this meme format, and most of them are complete nonsense. However, this one from James makes sense. Our local lad, from Northern Ireland, is bang in form. Why won’t Michael O’Neill call him up? Coward.
