TT PREVIEW

Max discusses his team
SEASON SO FAR
Summarising Slough’s season is a tricky one, but it’s probably a positive one rather than negative. I think the league position is probably where we expected to be, low mid-table albeit for the first half of the season we were in a relegation scrap but when you go on a cup run and play in front of the cameras in front of a sell out home crowd and just about miss out on making history that needs to be respected, and a great SL Classico win on Boxing Day!
RECENT FORM
Recent form hasn’t been great, it’s a perfect time for sides like yourselves to play teams that have nothing to play for, but like all clubs injuries have an impact and at a club like Slough it can be catastrophic if we had a few more out. It’s very much a youthful side that you will probably see Saturday.
HIGHLIGHTS
Highlights have to be the 3-1 win on Boxing Day in front of a strong away following especially with no public transport running and the FA Cup run also where if we beat Macclesfield we would of had the holders Crystal Palace.
KEY PLAYERS
Sadly most of our key players won’t feature Saturday due to injuries and suspensions but Kiki Oshilija has been superb at Centre Half this season wearing on the armband whilst club captain Henry Ochieng is sat on the sidelines with a long term injury and no doubt we would of been a better side with Henry in the team.
TACTICS
Scott Davies chops and changes the way he wants his players to play, sometimes sit back and sometimes get in the face of the opposition. Who knows what he will do Saturday!
POSSIBLE LINE-UP
This is the hardest question of the lot but I’ll give it a go! Edegbe, Gidaree, Greenidge, Mukambi, Dyce, Nelson, Clarke, Drakes-Thomas, Holness, Walker, Celestine-Charles
PRE-MATCH
The Wheatsheaf is great and allows for home and away fans but there is also a spoons in town.
BEST OPPOSITION
Think both Dorking and Worthing are worthy title contenders just made things look so easy.
BIG CROWD
Yes I’d hope so, Scott Davies said the other day that you have sold 400/500 tickets which is unreal for this league especially given the journey, at a guess I’d say a figure of 1400-1500 will be there!
PREDICTION
I wish I could predict a win but I physically can’t, but as some call me on the terraces “Take a draw max” I’d be happy with a point, hopefully an entertaining game 2-2! Safe trip to all making the journey!
