LAST MEETING
Last meeting: Saturday 22nd November 2025, Torquay United 7 Eastbourne 0
After a difficult week, Torquay United found themselves in seventh heaven as they hit seven past Eastbourne Borough.
United went close on seven minutes as Louis Dennis was denied in a one-on-one situation by Eastbourne keeper Ryan Sandford. However, moments later, United edged ahead when Dennis turned home a cross from Jordan Thomas.
In the 20th minute, Sonny Blu Lo-Everton tested Sandford with a long-range effort; the rebound fell invitingly to Jordan Young, whose effort was ruled out for offside.
The Gulls doubled their lead in the 30th minute when Dennis fired past Sandford.
Two minutes later, the Sports threatened as a Kai Corbett shot looped against the bar before the rebound fell to Pemi Aderoju who was denied by the reflexes of United keeper James Hamon.
Young added a third on 39 minutes, with a sublime effort following good work from Matt Jay and Dennis.
On the stroke of half-time, United made it four when Young teed up Dylan Morgan who slotted home with a low drive.
In the second half, Dennis completed a hat-trick in the 57th minute with a low strike from distance.
A minute later, Morgan completed his brace to score United’s sixth.
Young then completed his own double on 63 minutes when he lobbed Sandford following a long ball from Hamon.
Eastbourne were denied a consolation from Aderoju in the 70th minute, which was disallowed.
