TT PREVIEW

Giles discusses his team
SEASON SO FAR
Great start with wins at Maidenhead (2-1)and at Home v Farnborough (3-2), then back to Nil – Nil’s, which we have now had four in the league, including last week away at Maidstone. Don’t leave the game early, as late goals, penalties have been seen.
RECENT FORM
Two weeks ago a solid home victory over Enfield 4-1 was the biggest victory so far this season. Then we scored four again midweek in the county cup v Thatcham, before last Saturday’s 0-0 at Maidstone.
HIGHLIGHTS
The season opener, away win at Maidenhead who were relegated last season, was great.
KEY PLAYERS
New signing Alex Babos, Midfielder from Hereford is a key player and scored a couple of goals from free kicks.
THE MANAGEMENT TEAM & TACTICS
James Duncan and Michael Murray (JD & Muzza) been at the club almost 7 years. They’ve brought in new players this season, which has seen less goals being conceded, but they’re not going in at the other end. Use their squad of players and it’s not often you see the same XI picked game after game, depending on opposition if any knocks to players.
POSSIBLE LINE-UP
Goode, Addae, Roberts, Stevens, Young, Bayliss, Lench, Babos, Weiss, Minhas & Rasulo
BEST OPPOSITION
Lyle Taylor, Stricker Chelmsford
PLAY-OFF PUSH?
It would be nice, but if we made it, it would be in late push and just making it in.
PREDICTION
On the the way both teams have been playing 0-0 or a late goal to win it (for either side). Could Chesham get that first win at home over Torquay ??
ANY OTHER BUSINESS?
A couple of extra stats: Torquay have never lost a game at Chesham. With Chesham never losing a game at Torquay. I believe there are only 3 people to have watched all five games between Chesham and Torquay, manly due to one of the FA Trophy games having to be played behind closed doors due to COVID. The three people being Torquay’s kit man, Ryan Woolnough, Chesham media officer and myself as Chesham Historian.
