TT PREVIEW

Adi discusses his team
ABOUT ME
I’m Adi Rose, long term supporter of the club from the late 90’s and full time from 2014 and I also assist with Social Media and graphics for the club.
START TO THE SEASON
A good start, considering we are at Step 2 for the first time in our history, to have played 8 in the league and won 4 I think could be considered very good!
RECENT FORM
We’ve lost our last 2. Both away games at Dorking in the league and then Eastleigh in the Hampshire Senior Cup.
KEY PLAYERS
This is a tough one – Ryan Gosney in goal has been outstanding, Joe Oastler was our player of the year last season and upfront Tony Lee is top of the NLS scoring charts so far – many other threats in the team, but too many to mention!
THE MANAGER
Jimmy Ball has been superb since he joined us, he’s created 3 good sides following 2 promotions in 3 seasons – so to continually do that and be competitive shows just what an excellent manager we have. Many can create a good winning team, but to do it repeatedly is what sets him apart from most others, for me.
BIG CROWD?
We’re hoping so! You guys will no doubt travel in numbers which helps, but of course our supporters will be well up for a Cup tie like this one!
PRE-MATCH OPTIONS
It’s easy to say, but our clubhouse! Genuinely serves fantastic food and we have a happy hour offer on at the moment – so what’s not to like about that?
FACTS ABOUT THE CLUB
The ‘A’ in AFC Totton stands for amalgamated and not ‘Association’ or ‘Athletic’ as is the case with many clubs. Totton FC and Totton Athletic(!) merged in 1974, hence the name.
PREDICTION
We gave it a good go in the league at Plainmoor last month, so since we are at home and fear nobody at home, I will say a 2-1 victory for us!
