TT PREVIEW

Tommy discusses his team
START TO THE SEASON
Nothing short of exceptional. 13 points from 18 has been a brilliant start, with 3 of the wins coming against much fancied sides such as Dorking, Dagenham and Ebbsfleet, and a good win at Chesham.
HOPES AND EXPECTATIONS
37 more points then assess. Every year in this division is a brilliant year for the football club, and despite the good start I’d still take 20th, but would love to be mid-table in this tough tough league.
KEY PLAYERS
Davide Rodari has 4 goals in the opening 6, Alfie Tuck in midfield scored a lovely free kick on saturday and looks so composed, so tidy on the ball, Alan Massey wins everything at the back, in the air, and blocks everything. We’ve got a solid spine and will work hard for every single point.
THE MANAGER
Unbelievable. This is his 2nd season with us, and it’s still important to remember it’s his first managerial gig. Staying up last season was nothing short of a miracle, and he and the management team did a brilliant job under very difficult circumstances. This year our budget has slightly increased, and so far he seems to have recruited well, and has us playing a way which suits the squad and is getting us good results.
POSSIBLE LINE-UP
In a 5-3-2 I reckon. Holden GK, Nathan Paul Lavaly LWB, Charlie Sayers LCB, Alan Massey CCB, Harry Thomas RCB, Paul Field RWB, Alfie Tuck CM, Harry Gardner CM, Ronan Silva CM, Davide Rodari ST, Craig Fasanmade ST.
CROWD
Crowds have stayed fairly similar to the back end of last season, but it’s not the numbers that have changed, it’s the atmosphere. The club is a far far nicer place to be now, than the tough couple of years we’ve had before. Beer prices are down on last season, now opened a Tuck shop so it’s a much better club to be around and I’m sure many of you may feel that vibe when you visit. I don’t expect a big crowd, we’re dissapointed we don’t play you on a Saturday, because you always travel well, however you’ll still bring a good number, but with the match being on DAZN, possibly Hampton and some Torquay fans won’t come down. Would be thrilled with 800.
PRE-MATCH
As you all will know after Pizzagate, the World’s End is the cheapest pub, and a 2 minute walk from the ground. However if some fans want to avoid the shame and embarrassment of said Pizzagate, then the Bell on the River is a good call, and the Jolly Coopers is a lovely little establishment.
PROMOTION CANDIDATES
After the start, us haha. In all seriousness, it’s hard to look past the full time sides, even after losing to us, would expect Dorking, Torquay, Ebbsfleet to be up there, then take your pick of Maidstone, Chelmsford, and don’t write off any slow starters either.
PREDICTION
I’ll go for a nice 1-1 draw, with goals from Ronan Silva and Ed Palmer (again). It’s a free-hit for us again but we seem to be exceeding against bigger sides, but you guys are a tough test so the game could go either way, bring on tomorrow night! Viva La Beaver!
