Gulls legend Kevin Hill was awarded a testimonial on this day in 2007, with Plymouth Argyle the visitors to Plainmoor. Tony Bedeau scored in front of a 3000+ crowd to give United the win.
Hilly’s debut was on 9th August 1997 against Macclesfield, and his time at the club included two great escapes (2001 & 2006), two play-off campaigns (1998 & 2008), one promotion (2004), two relegations (2005 & 2007) and a FA Trophy final (2008) in a typically eventful time for the club!
