TT PREVIEW

Miles discusses his team
SEASON SO FAR
The season so far has been brilliant, unlike any other season I’ve experienced at Eastbourne. We have gone from relegation favourites to title contenders in the space of a year. To be level on points with top is amazing, but we aren’t done yet! The only disappointment was getting knocked out of both FA competitions quite early but we did have very tough draws with Boreham Wood twice and Dorking!
RECENT FORM
Our recent form has been excellent as we are 11 unbeaten in the league and have only conceded 3 goals in that time. A few too many 0-0 draws in there but we seem to have found our shooting boots with a couple goals in each of our last two games
HIGHLIGHTS
Highlight of the season so far is either beating Boreham Wood at home 2-1 or winning away at Weston Super Mare in December after a 5 hour train journey to get to the game! The ideal Christmas present!
KEY PLAYERS
Our key players right now are Ollie Kensdale at the back who is way too good for this level. A composed, ball playing defender who can play anywhere across the back 3 and in holding midfield. Jack Clarke and Odusanya have been superb in the midfield recently and give us great balance. Finally George Alexander has bagged 12 goals in the league so far this season so it would be unfair not to mention him.
THE MANAGER
Adam is no stranger to Plainmoor having played for Torquay. He likes a 3-5-2 with wing backs and a player in the “10”. The personnel depends on what the game plan against the opposition is.
POSSIBLE LINE-UP
The lineup is likely to be close to unchanged – Wright Carter-Kensdale-Bird C.Clarke-Clarke-Odusanya-Innocent Adigun Alexander-Bamba
AWAY SUPPORT
I’m coming this time with my family and I reckon 30-40 will make the trip but hopefully it’s more!
BEST OPPOSITION
Best team so far is probably Boreham Wood as we’ve played them 3 times already and lost twice. Eweka from Maidstone was brilliant against us and Foyo, who was at Chelmsford, tore us apart in our away game against them
PROMOTION CHANCES
Winning the league is very difficult and I’m not sure we score enough goals to win the title. Also we have a lot of tough games in the run in including Torquay, Boreham Wood and Dorking away as well as Maidstone and Worthing at home. If we can come out of those with 9 points who knows. Whoever does win the league will be very worthy winners! I back us in the playoffs, especially at home, as we haven’t lost in the league at home all season.
PREDICTION
My prediction is a 1-1 draw for the game but feel it could go either way.
