SOCIAL MEDIA
2024 was the year when the fantastic Bryn Consortium came to the rescue of Torquay United. We asked the Yellow Army for the thoughts on the Consortium on Social Media, and what they should prioritise for 2025.
Martin Danby – Money certainly helps but most of all it’s that family feeling again the injoymeant and togetherness.
Jack Critchlow – Well done to all concerned for saving Torquay United from extinction.
Steven Badcott – While there may be clubs that have owners with deeper pockets (not that the Bryn Consortium haven’t been generous), I’m not sure there could be another set of owners anywhere who have captured the zeitgeist of what being a supporter means. We’ve had other owners including the very generous Bristows, but no one until now has galvanised the fanbase in the way the Bryn Consortium have. The partnership with TUST has been key and the vision displayed to involve supporters and ultimately entrust the club to its fans is stunning.
Contrast that with the malevolent regime we had before: spiteful, toxic and deceitful and it’s no wonder fans are coming back in their droves ever more appreciative of what was almost stolen from us.
Everything the Bryn Consortium have done so far has been impressive from open communication, addressing issues around the stadium and they certainly have my gratitude and respect.
Boomer Tom Collins – From having no club to top the league only having one player signed at the start of the season is a very special effort from all involved keep up the good work.
David Lynch – We have our club back it’s fans bas again and plainmoor looks like a stadium with more to come no doubt just need another decent forward onwards and up we go.
Paul Hepworth – They have bought excitement, enjoyment and genuine engagement back, made a solid first managerial appointment and seem more than willing to back him to continually try and improve the squad, they’ve also done a fantastic job commercially, can’t fault them on a single thing, the only priority going forward is to help us get out of this league asap which I have no doubt will happen.
Steve George – From the appointment of Paul Wotton to the communication & openness from them has been amazing, the new merchandise has been fantastic Plainmoor has a great feel good factor again, our forward line is our main concern I feel someone to help Cooke out. Other than that just keep doing what there doing clubs on the up and only going to get stronger.
Adam Geary – I think the biggest thing Bryn has done is make the fans feel heard. It’s still crazy to see the club asking for feedback and community engagement, haven’t had anything like it in YEARS.
I have no criticisms going into 2025, more of the same please!
Les Quaintance – They’ve brought enjoyment bato the club. Please keep up the good work.

@tommyktufc – What else can you say but thank you! A wonderful group of people who have saved our club and actively engage with their supporters. I think we’ll see a lot of improvements over the summer. B&L still needs work but good to see improvements already underway there! Up the Gulls!
@leecross398741 – They have done a tremendous job and listened to fans. I would say get more staff in boots and laces before the game. Especially new years day, with that amount of fans due it’s going to be mayhem.
@LeeGulls – Positivity and forethought. Top of the league and well in the mix of the promotion hunt better merch in the club shop re-vamp internally and externally of Plainmoor strengthening the squad as needed Let’s get the youth system working for us as we move forward.
@Torquaymanor18 – Mid April in 2024 I was wondering if we would still have a football club. Thanks to Bryn consortium not only did they keep the padlocks off the gate. They have breathed new life and we are going from strength to strength. We are rising from the ashes. No complaints from me.
@Rodentcrap – Forever thankful that they saved my club. More bar staff before games ! Maybe a loyalty or membership for Boots and laces that gives you a small percentage off the normal price. Oh and the league title obviously.
@A1927362678 – I, personally, don’t think I can find the right superlatives to describe them. Not only is it outstanding to have a football club, but one that is doing amazing at every levels and provides so much back to the fans. Genuinely, cannot believe how lucky we are! Hopefully up the FL
