Joe looks at more players who could join Torquay this summer
CONNOR RILEY-LOWE
Wotton’s captain at Truro, this link will no doubt anger our frequent website visitors from across the Tamar who have struggled with the concept that Torquay United would be seen as a step up from Truro City. Connor is Paignton based and comes from a family of Torquay fans, and so surely would jump at the chance to head to Plainmoor. Riley-Lowe can play anywhere across the back line, and his versatility could prove a vital use of the budget, even if it did mean paying a nominal fee to Truro as he is under contract.
RILEY-LOWE STATS – DATE OF BIRTH: 10/01/96, POSITION: DEFENDER, BIRTHPLACE: PAIGNTON
BEN SEYMOUR
Having initially come through the youth set up at Exeter City, Seymour is another who could turn up at Plainmoor. He enjoyed a decent season with Hampton & Richmond last season scoring 15 goals and supplying 7 assists, following a 20 goal season at Plymouth Parkway the season before. At 25 his best years could still be ahead of him and a multi year deal may tie down the striker now that his former youth coach Mel Gwinnett has left Hampton and given that he’s yet to sign a new deal.
SEYMOUR STATS – DATE OF BIRTH: 16/04/99, POSITION: STRIKER, BIRTHPLACE: WATFORD
AHKEEM ROSE
Part of the formidable Weymouth strike partnership with Brad Ash the season before last, Rose’s move to Scottish League One side Ayr United didn’t go quite to plan as he suffered an injury hit season, during which he was loaned to Hamilton. That said, he still managed a return of 13 goals and considering he helped himself to 15 goals the previous season when partnering Ash, that may be enough to entice the Jamaican forward down to the Bay. Rose also brings versatility with him as he can play off the left wing as well as up front.
ROSE STATS – DATE OF BIRTH: 27/11/98, POSITION: WINGER/STRIKER, BIRTHPLACE: JAMAICA

CALEB ROBERTS
The 18 year old Argyle youngster signed professional terms last summer at Home Park and is highly thought of by the Green Army. He made his full debut for the club against Leeds in January in the FA Cup and partnered former Gulls loanee Adam Randell in the centre of midfield. What he needs now at his age is regular games and Wotton’s links to Argyle could mean that he is trusted to aid his development on a season long loan.
ROBERTS STATS – DATE OF BIRTH: 24/10/05, POSITION: MIDFIELDER, BIRTHPLACE: IVYBRIDGE
PEDRO BORGES
The Exeter youngster will be looking to build on loans at Dorchester and Gosport last season, with a long term loan in the NLS the next logical step for the tricky winger. The Portuguese youngster is highly thought of at Exeter after he supplied a “stunning assist” for Exeter’s goal of the season last year in their game at Port Vale with a lovely chipped through ball. A six month loan deal would make sense for all parties.
BORGES STATS – DATE OF BIRTH: 23/07/05, POSITION: MIDFIELDER, BIRTHPLACE: PORTUGAL
