Having been released by Plymouth Argyle in the summer of 2017, French goalkeeper Vincent Dorel was drafted in by Robbie Herrera during his caretaker spell in charge following an injury to Ryan Clarke. The most recent signing on this list, Arkell Jude-Boyd joined the Gulls on loan from Queens Park Rangers in February 2024 and made 17 appearances and scored six goals. Many of them were memorable long range strikes from distance, which helped to earn him the club’s Young Player of the Year award.

38 – ROBBIE CUNDY (2019-20)
Another of the Bristol City loan contingent who arrived at Plainmoor in the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons, Robbie Cundy established himself as a regular in the Gulls’ defence in the 2019-20 campaign. He was later loaned out to Cambridge United and Gillingham before joining his present club Barnsley.

Brazilian goalkeeper Lucas Covolan will always be remembered for his exploits in the 2021 National League Play-off final against Hartlepool United when he emulated his compatriot Alison by heading home the Gulls’ equaliser in second half injury time. He then saved two penalties in the penalty shoot-out, which United lost 5-4.

32 – DANNY WRIGHT (2020-22)
Centre forward Danny Wright joined the Gulls as a replacement for Jamie Reid in the summer of 2020 and brought a wealth of experience and know-how to the Gulls’ side. Highlights of his two years at Plainmoor include a perfect hat-trick in a 5-0 away win against Hartlepool United – as he found the back of the net with his right foot, left foot and his head – and netting a brace in United’s 4-2 Play-off semi-final win over Notts County.
