Louie talks about the Tudors
SEASON SO FAR
Hello lads, Hemel’s season so far is an odd one! I’d summarise it by saying it’s definitely not what we expected when you came to us at the start of the season when we were all pretty positive, now it’s the opposite.
RECENT FORM
Our recent form is not the best, losing 2-0 Havant this week and also 2-0 to Chippenham at home was a tough one and a few weeks back losing to Walsall Wood in the FA Trophy. The main thing is we are struggling to score and seem to start playing better around the 70th min, which is all well and good but need to be doing it the whole game.
HIGHLIGHTS
Highlights this season would definitely be beating Yeovil and coming back to beat you 3-2 after going 2-1 down, or beating Chelmsford 2-1. All these were earlier on in the season where we played very good in every game. It was just a good watch and gave us some very positive expectations.
KEY PLAYERS
Key players is hard to pick out after the last few weeks no-one’s really stood out. I’d have to say Chris Smith – who’s just been a rock at the back for us so far this season after joining at the start of the season, he’s really starting to show what his about recently definitely a key player. Craig King our goalkeeper, what a man, what a keeper, he could easily be playing higher and again without him I don’t know where we would be. Lastly Tyrell Newton, Player of the Month this month, on loan from Luton very good player to have. Another name George Williams who I definitely would see as a key player, normally he is our main source of creating chances and one of our best players.
THE MANAGER
Current manager is Bradley Quinton. He’s a very hardworking manager and always putting the players through their paces, such a great guy with the fans and will be completely honest when performances are not good enough.
THE LINE-UP
The team probably has to change with the recent form I would go with gk-Craig King, cb-Kyle Ajayi, cb Chris Smith, rb-Montel Mckenzie, lb-Josh Williams, cdm- Tyrell Newton, cm-George Williams, cm-Joe Re, cam-Alfie Mathews, st-Tarelle Whittaker, st-Dan Powell. We have a few injuries so this might be nowhere near right.
AWAY FOLLOWING
There is a few staying down for the weekend, I’d say about 20-30 of us, not the most we have had for an away day but enough.
STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES
The strength of the team is how much they actually want to win, a great set of lads who we know are good enough. The defence is brilliant, think we have the least amount of goals conceded or close enough. Weaknesses are we can’t score no matter how many strikers we bring in. We also tend to start playing late second half, need to be on it from the first whistle.
BEST OPPOSITION
Not many teams have actually impressed me, although Chippenham absolutely battered us the whole game and made us look silly, that was mainly because of how bad we were, though saying that I’d probably say them as no-one else has really stood out. Players wise again I’d say Craig Fasanmade from Chippenham, an ex-Hemel player really starting to find his feet this season, brilliant player all around. Hampton have a few, Dan Wishart, Fernandez.
PREDICTION
I’m not the most confident person at the moment, maybe I’ll be more confident after tomorrow and hopefully I will, so I’m going to be positive and say 2-1 Hemel.
