TT INTERVIEW

Adam talks about the Glovers
SEASON SO FAR
Yes 100% happy at the moment, with another win this week making it 14 wins in a row in all competitions and 9 points clear at the top, and especially after the season started with a slight stutter, can’t complain at all. Can we make it 15 wins..
THE LEAGUE GAME
Torquay reminded me of the way Yeovil played in recent years, very disjointed and low on confidence. Us (yeovil) played with freedom and confidence, one moment we lost the ball from our corner and the whole team sprinted back to retrieve the ball, that shows team sprit and commitment to help each other after mistakes.
HIGHLIGHTS
Obviously 14 wins in a row is up there. But I think just the general positivity within the squad and goals coming from any position. The way we’re going, wouldn’t be surprised if goalkeeper to chip in one game.
KEY PLAYERS
Young – he’s untouchable this season, the ball is glued to his feet and free kicks are always a danger. The whole defence – with it being a fairly new back-line it was always going to take time to gel, but they look like being together for years. Murphy – Always a danger, creates chances from nothing and a clinical finisher.
THE OWNERS
Massive breath of fresh air. Brought the whole club back together when it looked dead on it’s feet from previous years of terrible ownerships. Gave the management a proper budget to work with. *Listened/engaged with the fans to improve match days experience. *Improved the visual appearance of the ground. The list can go on…
THE MANAGER
Not going to lie, at the start of the season did have slight doubts with Mark Cooper, but had to give him a chance as he did have his hands tied around his back last season. Just look now at the results with a budget and no owners telling him who he can and cannot buy, he’s excelling. Strengths – Recruitment has been superb, to get the quality he has is something you have to admire. His game management is excellent, knows the moment when things need changing and not afraid of bringing anyone off or dropping them next game. Development of players is clear to see with players such a Dawes, Young, and Stevens improving all the time.
AWAY FOLLOWING
Difficult to say with it being a cup match. I’m hoping it will be similar to the Tuesday night game, maybe a few more being a Saturday.
BEST OPPOSITION
The Farnborough game last night, they were one of the best teams we’ve played all season and gave us an extremely close game. Players wise – Ollie Pearce for Worthing impressed me.
PREDICTION
Mark Cooper wants to carry on this winning streak so I can see him taking it seriously but maybe with one or two players rested. Prediction is Yeovil 2-1 (last minute winner).
