TT INTERVIEW

Lee talks about the Bluebirds from Chippenham
PRE-SEASON
It’s been a very good summer at Chippenham despite some of the outgoings, pre-season was very good for us as a load of Academy players got to have some minutes.
SUMMER SIGNINGS
We have made 9 signings over the Summer altogether , Luke Haines and Aaron Amadi- Holloway (both from Hereford), Jake Evans (Hungerford), Tyreke Johnson (Woking), Tom Owen-Evans (Kidderminster), Luke Spokes (Bath), Freddie Grant (Farnborough) Nathaniel Williams (Bristol City) and George Abbott (on loan from Watford).
START TO THE SEASON
The opening games couldn’t have gone any better really. Two wins (Aveley and Havant) despite having injuries to a couple of key players and scoring a few goals too.
KEY PLAYERS
Will Henry in goal is massively important to us, making some key saves already. Two of our most key players are out injured at the moment (Luke Haines and Tom Owen-Evans) but happily everyone is stepping up to the plate.
THE MANAGER
Gary Horgan is one of the most likeable men around, been at Chippenham for many years as a player, assistant coach then interim manager and now obviously the gaffer for over a year. He likes to play out from the back and retain possession to start an attack.
AWAY SUPPORT
Hopefully we will be bringing about 30-40 down on Tuesday night.
EXPECTATIONS FOR 23/24
I think we are hopefully looking to finish as high as possible but the league is much harder this year than last season with the new teams coming into the division, so hopefully around 10-12th place finish would be good for us.
PREDICTION
I think the boys will be geared up for this after the positive results to start the season and I reckon it will be a 1-1 draw.
